High Performance Storage
Consolidation and business intelligence are key themes in today’s IT. Consolidation brings with it challenges in server multi-tenancy and hosted desktops while database management systems become the keys to a successful business. In both cases fast and reliable solutions lead to a more productive and profitable enterprise. The Hyper ISE is a storage system that keeps pace with the performance demands of today’s IT without the high cost it takes traditional storage systems to keep up. Hyper ISE provides an ideal balance of price, performance, capacity and reliability by combining SSD and HDD together into a single hybrid pool of capacity to provide SSD performance at HDD pricing. Hyper ISE outperforms systems that are up to ten times more expensive and provides outstanding total cost of ownership (TCO) by reducing operating costs associated with management, power, cooling and datacenter footprint.
True Hybrid Storage
Hyper ISE is the only true hybrid storage system that fuses SSD and HDD as single pool of storage, creating the ideal balance of price, performance and capacity. It leverages patented Continuous Adaptive Data Placement (CADP) software, which analyzes the behavior of application I/O and automatically places hotspot data onto SSD only if measurable performance gains will be achieved. Otherwise, CADP will keep the data on high performance HDD, ensuring the more expensive SSD resources are fully optimized and available for performance-driven data. This is a fundamental advantage of X-IO Hyper ISE technology; out of the box and without setting up any performance policies, it provides the greatest levels of application performance with the most efficient use of storage resources.
Application Acceleration
Many customers are using Hyper ISE for database applications because it cost-effectively provides high performance for transactions, queries, analytics and reporting. Virtualization is another major use case; Hyper ISE can support thousands of virtual desktops with optimal performance and capacity. Additionally, Hyper ISE breaks the performance bottleneck often found in the virtual data center, resulting in increased productivity through faster VDI logins and far greater consolidation ratios of virtual-to-physical servers.
Fast Forever
Data growth has a deep impact on capacity and with it an increasing demand for high performance at low latency. The Hyper ISE storage system was designed for performance, even as it reaches high levels of capacity utilization, during RAID rebuilds, data movement, mirroring, or when drive issues arise. Hyper ISE has been architected to minimize the performance degradation that is felt by the users and applications during any and all of these conditions. Leveraging the proven technology of HDD and blending that with the amazing performance of SSD means that Hyper ISE can be fast forever.
| Reduce risk | Full protection, sparing and managed reliability for HDDs and SSDs |
| Isolate and eliminate performance hot-spots | Continuous adaptive data placement (CADP) |
| Decrease manual configuration and intervention | Self-start, automatic tuning, phone-home support, automated drive recovery |
| Improve application performance | CADP automatically moves the right data to SSD at the right time |
| Reduce costs | No capacity-based charges, free 5-year standard hardware warranty, low power and cooling requirements |
World-Class, Worldwide Support
World-class customer service is a top priority for X-IO. X-IO supports its customers using best in class tools combined with the native and no-cost phone-home support called ActiveWatch. ActiveWatch regularly reports complete operating telemetry on each ISE, and reports failure-predictive conditions and events. ActiveWatch is tied into the X-IO customer database to sure support cases are generated automatically when it is time for an ISE to send an alert. Many of the cases handled today by X-IO’s technical support staff are automatically generated by ActiveWatch, leading to an exceptional customer experience and a faster time to resolution.
A Winning Storage Solution
Recognized at Microsoft TechEd, the Hyper ISE was awarded Breakthrough Product of the Year in 2011 and Best Hardware and Storage Product in 2012. In addition, Hyper ISE was awarded Attendees’ Pick both years, demonstrating that extreme innovation aimed at solving business problems is what it takes to build a highly effective business solution for the next generation of high performance and highly reliable datacenters.
